Our technology department is split into two core areas.
Our Engineering team powers the technology behind Blue Light Card, developing and maintaining our platforms including iOS and Android apps, and the websites our members rely on daily to save on the brands they love. We also build and support internal tools that enable seamless member management and content delivery. Driven by continuous improvement, we refine our technology and processes to enhance efficiency, innovation, and experimentation.
Collaboration is at the heart of our work, we partner closely with the Product team in an agile squad structure, focusing on key outcomes such as share of wallet, personalisation, member growth & engagement, and platform evolution.
Our core tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, and AWS.
Information security (InfoSec) and data protection is of critical importance to us. Our members, colleagues, partners and shareholders place their trust in us to always do the right thing with the information we manage and the service we provide. Our InfoSec team are responsible for key areas such as GDPR compliance, cyber security, data protection and incident response management.
Our IT Operations team make the day-to-day colleague and workplace technology experience better, by supporting with IT and mobile equipment needs, access to the right applications, audio-visual set-up for large company events, managing the Wi-Fi networks, and more.
Product at Blue Light Card are the voice of our members, working with our engineering teams, we build experiences our members value and that support our rapid growth. We love getting into the detail of how our members use our web and mobile apps, what they love and what could be better.
