Squash gender bias

Squash for Women in Tech: Recognise and Respond to Gender Bias

🗓 Wednesday 25th June • ⏰ 1pm • 📍 Online – Zoom

Join Women in Tech UK and Squash for a powerful, one-hour interactive workshop that goes beyond the theory of gender bias and into the reality of how it plays out in the workplace.

Using short, real-life scenarios performed by professional actors, this session will spark reflection and conversation on the subtle, and not-so-subtle, ways gender bias shows up in our day-to-day working lives. Together, we’ll explore how to recognise these behaviours and, crucially, how to respond in a way that supports meaningful change.

What to Expect:

This workshop is open to people of all genders, and we particularly encourage male allies to attend. Your voice plays a vital role in building a more equitable and respectful workplace culture.

About Squash

Squash delivers interactive workshops that bring workplace bias to life using professional actors and authentic, relatable scenarios. By showing, not telling, Squash helps teams spark the ‘aha’ moments that lead to lasting change. It’s a bold and engaging alternative to traditional DEI training.

Women in SAP Day 2025

The Women in SAP community within UKISUG is a supportive network that empowers women in tech and business roles by fostering connection, mentorship, and leadership development, driving equity and innovation across the SAP ecosystem.

Once a year, the Women in SAP community runs an in-person event that is a day where the community comes together to share experiences, build connections and inspire.

At the heart of the day will be our keynote theme: “The Broken Rung for Women in Leadership”. Together, we’ll unpack the critical question: What’s really standing in the way of women climbing the tech leadership ladder? Through keynote insights and a dynamic panel discussion, we’ll explore the systemic barriers and what both organisations and individuals can do to create lasting, meaningful change.

We’ll also address issues of representation and how we can support each other to increase the visibility and impact of women in our community. From having your voice heard in daily work situations, to sharing your expertise at events like Connect, to making sure women have a seat at the table where decisions are made – your experiences matter and we’re keen to help highlight them.

The Unlikeable WomanTM Summit

The Unlikeable Women™️ Summit: A one-day love letter to the women the world’s afraid of.

Unlikeable Women™️ are everywhere.

They’re among us. They are us! Propping up businesses. Bastions of social progress; getting shit done en masse. They’re smart, direct, effective, witty, wise and ambitious.

Yet despite their immense talent and contribution to culture… there’s something missing. What is it?

“She’s just… not very likeable.”

“I don’t know… maybe it’s her tone?”

“She could probably be a bit nicer, you know?”

“Oh, and she thinks far too much of herself.”

Feel familiar? The history of the world is filled with women who’ve been deemed Unlikeable, because when you damage a woman’s social status and turn her into an enemy – or even worse, a joke – then you take away her power.

Unlikeable Women™️ aren’t bitches (they don’t run around ruining lives or destroying reputations) they’re just… different.

The Unlikeable Woman™️ refuses to fit the mould the patriarchy created of a lovely, fluffy iced sorbet of a woman, and society’s making her pay: with relentless unsolicited and personal feedback.

“Could you… just be a bit nicer?”

If you’re angry, direct, too confident, not confident enough, too sensitive, not sensitive enough, outspoken, independent, blunt, honest, any or all of the above, then you’re probably an Unlikeable Woman™️

And we want to celebrate you.

The Unlikeable Woman™️ Summit is a one-day love letter to us, and them.

Come to hear talks by inspiring Unlikeable Women™️, have important discussions with Unlikeable Women™️ and eat and drink with them, too.

It’s time to revolt.

Isn’t that the most perfectly Unlikeable thing we could possibly do? 😉
